Husbands and ATV's

Latest news. ATV's do not like husbands. They flip over and poke their handle bar ends in their bellies.

Ok maybe its the driver but still. My hubby was showing his brother and a friend around on the farm and the idiot neighbor boys dug out a mud pit. Well one of the guys got stuck the first time they went across it (its on a path to get in and out of one of the fields) so the second time they came through it my hubby decided to put his in 4 wheel drive in order to not get stuck. Well the front wheels went up and the back wheels went sliding. Over the thing went and when he tried to jump off of it his jacket got hung up and the end of the handle bar went directly into his belly just below his sternum.

He said it stayed indented for several minutes after they got the ATV off of him. We tried to go to an Urgent Care place and they were too worried that he may have torn his spleen or ruptured a disk that they couldn't see on regular xray's. So off to the ER for a CT Scan. WOOHOO.

Well we got to the ER and got right in but it took an hour and half for the chalky stuff to get in his system so that they could do the scan and then another hour for results and then we got a prescription and a release. He was fine. Severely bruised enough for some Oxycodone. 2 hours looking for a 24 hour pharmacy (and we were not successful) we finally got home at 1 am.

Thank god he is ok but I still have had to tend to him and everything else because he can barely move. YAY! Fun. But he is ok and that is the most important thing.
